Scott Deviney has served as president and CEO of Chicken Salad Chick since May 2015. During his tenure, he has built an infrastructure that helped the fast casual concept scale from 32 restaurants to more than 225 in 17 states, making it one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the U.S. today. Under Deviney’s leadership, Chicken Salad Chick has successfully navigated one of the most challenging periods ever faced by the restaurant industry with the COVID-19 pandemic, achieving a +17.1% increase in year-over-year systemwide sales and opening 24 new restaurants in 2022. Prior to joining Chicken Salad Chick, Deviney was CEO of SDZ, an Atlanta-based multi-unit franchisee of 24 Wendy’s restaurants. He also spent 13 years in various roles in banking, including five years in the restaurant space. Looking ahead, Deviney’s vision is for Chicken Salad Chick to be America’s favorite place for chicken salad with 500 locations open by the end of 2025.
He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
