Preston joined RBI in 2017 as part of the Leadership Development Program. He began his career working in RBI FP&A and Investor Relations group and moved over once the new Burger King North America Digital team was formed in July 2018. Since the program’s inception, Preston has been managing and overseeing Burger King US Digital Growth & Loyalty. In his time leading the program he has overseen significant growth and development of the BK App and Royal Perks Loyalty program with millions of active users and app downloads. Over the past several years, he has been a part of and led the launch of more than 150 campaigns. Some include the groundbreaking “Whopper Detour” that used geo-location to set a new standard in digital engagement and acquisition, the “BK with a side of Crypto” partnership with RobinHood that made Burger King one of the first QSR brands to tap into cryptocurrency, and, most recently, the brand’s “Million Dollar Whopper Contest” that deployed generative AI to offer customers a first of its kind digital experience. He now oversees the larger Digital Marketing function which includes the Loyalty & CRM program along with Digital Growth & Innovation. He is responsible for driving BK US digital even further through key initiatives like loyalty, personalization, and growth marketing.
