Nandu Gandhi joined Focus Brands as Chief Technology & Data Officer in January 2023. He is leading the Digital Transformation Program at Focus Brands to deliver best in class customer experiences for our guests at the intersection of digital and physical channels. In addition, he is driving the digitization of all enterprise functions and restaurant operations to improve productivity and efficiencies across the organization; with the goal of delivering value to all company partners and driving results and profitability for franchisees.
For more than thirty years, Nandu has leveraged his extensive experience in technology strategy creation & execution, delivering digital transformations and building high-performing diverse & talented teams to consistently deliver revenue growth while dramatically reducing costs and improving omni customer experiences. Under his leadership, organizations have modernized their technology platforms to stay head of changing customer expectations, embraced data-driven decision making and built an innovation-first mindset in problem-solving for real business opportunities.
While a senior technology executive at Macy’s, Nandu was responsible for digital transformation, technology modernization, omni-commerce platforms and enterprise business intelligence and data science capabilities. Nandu also boasts extensive successes at The Home Depot in re-platforming the company’s website, leading the design and implementation of a first-ever autonomous IT organization for Home Depot Canada, as well as the largest SAP-Retail implementation of its time. Nandu’s history of working in multi-branded and multi-channel retail and consumer services gives him the knowledge and depth of experience to continue to evolve and improve upon the technology and systems we have in place at Focus Brands.
Nandu earned both an Executive MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Computer Science from the University of Mumbai. He has served on advisory boards of startups and has held leaderships roles at nonprofit organizations. He has been married to Jyoti for more than 25 years and has two grown children, Sanaya and Sachi.
