Mike Kappitt is the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for Operations Strategy, Field Operations and Development for North America and EMEA, Global Supply Chain and the Subway Cares Foundation.
Since joining Subway in 2020, Mike has been instrumental in guiding the brand’s transformation and strategic direction. His leadership overseeing global digital channels, CRM/personalization and business insights resulted in significant improvements to the brand’s digital channels and loyalty program to create a more convenient guest experience, helping drive profitable digital sales for franchisees.
Prior to Subway, Mike spent nearly a decade at Bloomin’ Brands, where he served as President of Carrabba’s Italian Grill, responsible for leading domestic operations and development, and Global Chief Marketing Officer, as well as Chief Marketing Officer for Outback Steakhouse. Earlier in his career, he held multiple leadership positions at Burger King, including Chief Marketing Officer for North America.
Mike received his undergraduate degree from Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, and now serves on the board of the school’s foundation. In 2015, Mike was inducted into FIU’s Business Hall of Fame, receiving the “Innovation Award,” which honors alumni whose creativity and innovations are advancing the way people work and live.
