Kris McDonald

Kris McDonald has served as the Vice President of Development since June, 2020. Having joined the brand in October, 2017 as the Director of Real Estate, she added the construction team to her scope in 2019 and later added the franchise sales and recruitment departments upon her promotion to Vice President. Under her leadership, the team has opened more than 145 locations, approved 123 franchise candidates; increased franchise fee revenue YOY and championed Checkers and Rally’s Restaurant of the Future. A lawyer by trade, Ms. McDonald practiced commercial real estate law early in her career ultimately working as in-house counsel for Walgreen Co. and eventually opting to move to Walgreens real estate team. In addition to her time at Walgreens, she led development teams for Chase Bank and Fred’s Pharmacy Inc.
