Joshua Sims Sr. is a seasoned restaurant marketer and start-up founder with over a decade of experience in building digital marketing strategies for both restaurant groups and franchisees. Currently, he serves as the Head of Marketing for Big Chicken, one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic emerging restaurant brands in the U.S., founded by basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. At Big Chicken, Joshua leads a marketing team dedicated to delivering BIG Flavor and BIG Fun, while amplifying the brand’s digital sales and creating impactful national and local store marketing campaigns. Before joining Big Chicken, Joshua served as the Senior Manager of Media & Advertising for Bojangles, where he successfully boosted the company’s digital return on ad spend (ROAS) and omnichannel sales by over 30% for franchisees. He also co-founded the athleisure performance brand Modern Revival, and spent several years on the agency side working with powerhouse brands across various industries, including Carl’s Jr. & Hardee’s (CKE), Jersey Mike’s, Adidas, and Fossil Watches. A 2013 graduate of North Carolina Central University’s School of Business, Joshua is a proud husband and father of three, and a passionate advocate for Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs).
