Shawn Caric is currently the Vice President of Franchise Development for Smoothie King. Caric leads franchise recruitment and strategic franchise expansion across key markets across the United States for the iconic 1,400-unit brand.
Prior to joining Smoothie King in November 2021, Shawn was the Director of Development for Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins where he worked to develop and execute strategic market plans and expansion strategy plans for both brands throughout an 11-state Midwest Region.
During his long tenure in franchising at Dunkin’, Caric’s guidance turned the Dunkin’ Franchising Team into industry leaders in the Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR) segment for new store commitments year after year.
Shawn has also held franchise leadership positions with QDOBA Mexican Eats, Hollywood Tans and Red Mango. Additionally, Shawn spent 13 years with Hallmark Cards, serving the Northeast in training, market development, operations, and regional sales management roles.
Shawn holds a B.S. in Quantitative Business Analysis from Penn State University, he has two sons in the hospitality industry, and he resides with his wife (Nancy) in Pittsburgh, PA.
